Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was born on November 30, 1977, in Miami, Florida. American electro house music producer, D.J., and record producer Steve Aoki is his nickname. Music executive. He is the son of Rocky Aoki and Chizuru Kbayashi. His father was a wrestler who also founded the restaurant chain Benihana. There are two of his older siblings, a sister Kana (who is sometimes called Grace, her middle name) Grace) & brother Kevin (owner of Doraku Sushi restaurant). The half-sister of his is Devon Aoki, a model and actress. He was born in Newport Beach, California and graduated from Newport Harbor High School, in which he was a part of the club that played varsity badminton. After having graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree, was enrolled at UC Santa Barbara. He also earned two bachelor's degrees, one in feminist studies and the other in Sociology. In his college days, he recorded self-made records and hosted underground music events out of his Biko room in the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative. The Pickle Patch was born as a concert venue. He also was active in student involvement at UCSB as the founder of the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League chapter on campus. In his early 20s, Dim Mak had established his own record label, known as Dim Mak in honor of his childhood hero Bruce Lee. He came out with I'm in the House in March 2010 as a collaboration with the Zuper Blahq his alter-ego will.i.am from The Black Eyed Peas. The track made it to the top spot at No. 29 in the U.K. singles chart in its debut week. It reached the top 5 on both the U.K. Indie Chart & U.K. Dance Chart. The track was featured on an episode of MTV's Jersey Shore as well as in the feature film Piranha & the trailer for Think Like A Man. In a May 2010 interview with HitQuarters Lucas Secon, the producer-songwriter confirmed that he as well as Rivers Cuomo had just worked on a single. In 2012, Pollstar designated him as the highest-grossing dance artist in North America from tours. He has worked with artists such as Afrojack and Linkin Park, Afrojack. Linkin Park, Will.i.am. Lil Jon. Blink-182, Laidback Luke. BTS. Louis Tomlinson. Rise Against. Vini Vii & Fall Out Boy. He is known for his remixes of artists such as Kid Cudi.
