Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born on the 7th of
September, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a
stage actor writer and director and her mother, Sara Wood, is an actor as well
as acting coach. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David
Wood III, an actor. Evan and her brothers occasionally appeared at Theatre In
The Park in Raleigh, which her father founded and where he serves as executive
director. After a lengthy audition at the age of five, she was old when she had
the opportunity to screen-test against Kirsten Dunst. She moved to Los Angeles
with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 . She has seen success since acting in TV
series, TV movies and feature films. Tracy played her part in Practical Magic
(1998) and also in S1m0ne (2002 the child of Al Pacino). Holly Hunter followed
with Thirteen (2004). Her breakout role as Tracy on "Thirteen"
brought her an Golden Globes nomination and a Screen Actors Guild Award
nomination. At the time she received the nomination from SAG and was the most
youthful actor to be nominated in the Leading Role category. Her portrayal in
the role of Veda Pierce in the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce (2011) was
rewarded with an Emmy nomination as well as an Emmy nomination and a Golden
Globe award. Her remarkable portrayal of Stephanie Rourke's estranged daughter
in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler (2008) earned her acclaim. She is the
daughter of Ira David Wood III and Sara Wood. Ira David Wood IV's younger
sister and Dana's younger sister. She is a dancer who has been trained. She
loves to sing, ride a horseback, and rollerblade. She is black belt in tae-kwon
do. Keeps in touch with most of her Once and Again (1999) co-stars: Mischa
Barton, Julia Whelan, as well as Shane West.
